Some professional cabinet makers would argue that the traditional frame saw is the best saw for most wasing tasks as ripping or cross cutting.These are made by E.C. Emmerich of Germany. The vertical bars and handles are crafted from red beech and are nicely finished.The horizontal bar is made from light but strong tropical wood and features a stabilizing bridge at one end to prevent misalignment. The tensioning is achieved by a heavy steel rod with a wing nut. The distance between the screw for the blade and the underside of the bar is 5". The blade can be re-sharpened when needed.
