Coming up today on the GCN Racing News Show, there’s a big change of pace as we hit the mountains at the Giro d’Italia, a race that looks like it will be as unpredictable as ever in the final week – I’ll be talking about why that may be. We’ve also got the Tour de l’Ain, the Emakumeen Bira, the Race across Poland, and more success for van der Poel at the latest round of the MTB XC world cup.

Last week we talked about the fact that the Giro d’Italia hadn’t been………the most interesting. That continued on Tuesday and Wednesday, where literally nothing happened until the final 3kms of each stage. However, the last 4 stages couldn’t have been more of a contrast – we’ve finally hit the mountains, and it’s been so compelling that Chris Froome even found a way to watch it whilst out training.
