Welcome to this new oneHOWTO video and the first of our aerial silk tutorials. This video is for ‘Beginner AERIAL SILKS – Hip Key or Hip Lock’, a move which involves cinching the fabric around your waist. Aerial silk is a form of acrobatics which has been given various names including aerial contortion, aerial ribbons or simply fabric or ribbon. This is a highly skilled form of acrobatics which requires you to hold your weight on a piece of fabric. By locking and using the fabric to hold your body, you can perform some beautiful gymnastic moves. Our friends at Feeling Woman aerial silk teachers have provided the first in our series of aerial silk moves with the hip key or hip lock, a brilliant move which can be incorporated into various aerial silk routines for exercise or performance.
